Jack Ballard has written and performed Folk, Rock,
Blues and Country songs professionally since 1967. A classically-trained
cellist (he studied with Raymond Davis, principal cellist of the Seattle
Symphony), he joined his first cover band as a vocalist/guitar player at 17 and
never looked back. A practicing studio musician, Jack has written and recorded over two hundred songs. Jack's tremendous harmonica ability and his gritty guitar leads make him one of the area's most noted all around musicians. Over the years Jack has performed in nightclubs throughout the
Pacific Northwest in bands with styles as varied as their names:
The
Head-on Collision
– Electric Bass Player/Lead Singer for this Top 40 dance band of 60’s and 70’s
rock songs – classics when they first came out - Doors, Stones, Beatles,
Animals, Rascals etc. House band for 3 years at Seattle’s Olympic Hotel (Now
the Four Seasons Hotel).
Jaen – Started and played electric

Meatball – Original member of this hard
rock and “British invasion” rock band out of Des Moines. Played Electric Bass
and was Lead Singer. Played local clubs and concerts.
Child – Started this all-original

played in…after he left it.

lifetime of singing. Meredith is having her 2nd baby in July,
otherwise you’d be hearing their sound for yourself. Check it out next year!
Jack
Ballard -
In-between all these bands, groups and duos, Jack has performed as a single,
simply playing songs that he likes. Why not?
Jack Ballard is very active in his community and is well known by many as a soccer and baseball coach, den
chief, church youth leader, cello teacher, and because he has written songs
with classes of children in many of our Snoqualmie Valley schools. You may be
surprised!
